Antibody-Mediated Immunity
…against emerging and re-emerging pathogens.
Antibodies are one of the primary defenses of the immune system. Gaining insights into how antibody responses evolve in reaction to vaccinations and/or infections is crucial for the development of more effective vaccines. We collaborate with physician scientist at OHSU to study a cohort of infected and vaccinated individuals in order to elucidate the factors which lead to improved antibody responses such as age, and the time between vaccination and infection.
